Tangarte duo is a part of Scandinavian Tipica Tangarte Orquesta. Tangarte duo concist two authentic Argentinian tango musicians, Victor Hugo Diaz and Juanjo.
Tipica Tangarte plays a wide repertoire ranging from the old-guard tango to the modern style tango from 1940 and onwards. Well-known composers like Villoldo, Canaro, Fresedo, Di Sarli, Troilo and Piazzolla, just to mention a few, are part of this repertoire. The orchestra play tango music of Argentinean tradition along with milongas and waltzes. With this wide range of music, the programme is also suitable for concert performances.
Victor Hugo Diaz, vocal
Born in Buenos Aires in 1964.
Victor Diaz is currently the only Argentinean singer in Denmark.
His varied repertoire spans from the oldest Tangos to the present - all with identity as the central theme.
From "Audacia" to "Desencuentro" or from "Sin Piel" to "Garganta con Arena" Victor makes an adventurous journey through the Argentinean Tangos greatest poets.
His experience with theatre started in Buenos Aires where he graduated as an actor from Escuela De Arte Dramatico
Juanjo Passo, guitar
He was born in Buenos Aires, in 1967.
He belongs from tango family. His father, Juan Jose Passo Senior, is the famous singer. He studied music with Oscar Cardoza and Raul Bordona.
The orchestra Tipica Tangarte is under musical and artistic direction of Juanjo Passo, who founded the group in june 1999. He currently lives and works in Sweden.
