Sergio Cortazzo
Sergio Cortazzo began his studies in 1986 working with many of the important maestros and counts himself lucky to have learnt the secrets of a generation of milongueros which has almost disappeared.
He has performed in most of the tango shows in Buenos Aires including Casblanca, Michelangelo, Senor Tango, El Viejo Almacen, Taconeando, La Ventana, Piazzolla Tango and la Esquina Homero Manzi, where he was also the artistic director. Famous companies Sergio has worked for include Tangokinesis, Tango x 2, and Tango Metropolis.
As well as serving as a judge for the World Tango Championships, Sergio has participated in tango festivals in Miami, The World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires, the Monza Tango Festival in Italy, in Istanbul, Wellington in New Zealand, Tarbes in France and Belgrade.
Maestros Sergio has worked with include Juan Carlos Copes, Antonio Todaro, Rodolfo Dinzel, Gustavo Naveira, Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Esther and Mingo Pugliese, Pepito Avellaneada, Pocho Pizarro, Pupi Castelo, Miguel Balmaceda, Juan Bruno and Rodolfo and Maria Cieri.
In the early part of 2007 Sergio and Soledad will make their artistic debut together as dancers and choreographers of a Tango Show, together with the septet of Erica Di Salvo, which will be presented in Japan and China.
Soledad Rivero
Soledad Rivero has a solid foundation in dance and holds the title of ''maestra nacional". She combines classical ballet technique with both traditional and modern tango. Soledad began her tango studies in 1998 with Miguel Zotto and Lorena Ermocida among others. . In 1994 she danced with the ballet company performing Zorbas, directed by V. Vasiliev and she has performed with the Julio Bocca Dance Company in "Don Quixote" and "Kuarahy". Soledad has also performed with Mariano Mores and the principal tango house shows of Buenos Aires including Michaelangelo and Faena Hotel.
For the last seven years she has partnered Miguel Angel Zotto and was the first female dancer in shows performed by Tango x 2 company including ''Una noche de Tango", "Perfume de Tango", "Tangos de La Cruz del Sur" and "Tangos, una leyanda" with which she toured the world. In January 2000 she appeared at the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House in the show ''Tango Sinfonica" with Miguel Zotto and the conductor Pablo Ziegler.
Soledad has participated in many tango festivals including those held in Miami, Naples, Paris, Seville, Florianopolis ( Brazil) and Tokyo.
