Demian&Carolina



Demián García and Carolina Bonaventura are dancers, choreographers and teachers with integral artistic studies. Actually they are members of the “Piazzolla Tango” show, the “Copes Tango Show”, and the “Tango Venus” company. Since they are together they did seven tours to Europe performing in very important theatres and giving workshops in a big quantity of different cities. They were part of great casts such as: “Tango Venus” (Japan, 2004) directed by Silvia Toscano, in wich Demián realized the choreographical asistance; “Tango Máxima” with Sexteto Canyengue Orchestra (in different cities of The Netherlands 2002); “Fantasia de Tango” (Gent, 2002) with the “All That Tango” company; “Fascinación de Tango” (Seúl, 2002); “Chanta Cuatro Tango” (Beirut, 2000) directed by Vanina Vilous and Junior. They did two tours to Australia and New Zeland on 2001 and 2002, visiting, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Auckland presenting their own show and giving workshop. They had perform in different shows in Buenos Aires at: Copes Tango Show, El Querandi, Caño 14, Tangoteca, Café Homero, “Pa´ que bailen los muchachos”, they realize the production and direction in the show “Tango” in Haedo Show Center; and the documentary “Tango, el espíritu de Argentina” with the company “Tango Metrópolis”. They were part of important tango Festivals as: 6º Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (CITA, Buenos Aires 2004); II World Championship of Tango Bs.As. (2004); Buenos Aires Tango Festival 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004; 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º and 5º International Tango Week in Buenos Aires (2003 and 2004); 1º DobleOcho Tango Festival 2004 (Nijmegen, The Netherlands); La Noche de La Pasión 2004 (Gent, Belgium); Bologna Summer Festival 2003 (Italy); Tango Mágico 2002 and 2003 (Zwolle, The Netherlands); Ultimo Tango Festival 2002 (Maastrich, The Netherlands) and TangoCamp Festival 2001 and 2002 (Malmo, Sweden). They started their tango dance studies with Gabriel Angió and Natalia Games, Roberto Herrera, Junior Soares, Gustavo Naveira, Chicho Frumboli, Luis Grondona y Mirta Sol among other teachers. Demián and Carolina work in their lessons with the proper utilization of the technique, the attitude and the musical interpretation, this three elements give to their students the possibility to develop the creativity and in that way they can manifest their own sensibility. With a lot of energy in their teaching, they are specially good in the attention to detail and the precision of the instruction. The structure of the lessons is focus in the pedagogic progression, this mode allow Demián and Carolina to embrace the movements in all their complexity and like exchangeable elements in an organic entire, to point out the possibilities instead of fixes enclosures. This way to teach was choose by Demián and Carolina because they think that the tango is essentially an improvise dance and they look forward to give to their student this way to understand an feel the tango dance. The couple speak fluently spanish, english and french.
