Sasha Nikolovski – Gjumar

Sasha Nikolovski – Gjumar (Bitola,1966) graduated the Faculty of Music Arts – Skopje (conducting and composition, 1991). In 1996 he specializes conducting (prof.Musin and Kukushin) at the Saint Petersburg Conservatorium “Nikolai Rimski Korsakov”. Completed master classes in conducting (V.Kazandziev and B.Hinchev) in 1999 at the Music Academy “P.Vladigerov” Sophia. He actively involves in the Macedonian music life as conductor of the Academic Choir “M.Acev”, the Jeunesess Musicales Macedonian Chamber Orchestra, Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Macedonian Opera, the ‘Synthesis” Internacional Orchestra. As artistic director and conductor of the contemporary Ensemble “St.Sophia”, In 2001, recieves the SOKOM ‘G.Bozhikov” award for a concert with the “St.Sophia” ensemble. He made several CD with JMM Chamber Orchestra (“A place on the Disc”, “J.S.Bach, “Piazzolla”…) Currently works as a professor at the Faculty of Music Arts - Skopje.
